School Policies & Regulations

At Bharat Swaroop Academy (BSA), every student is expected to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and responsibility. These policies have been framed in accordance with the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, applicable provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE), Government of Uttar Pradesh notifications, and other applicable laws. They are intended to ensure a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for all.

Admission Policy

  • Admission is granted subject to the availability of seats and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria prescribed by the School and CBSE.
  • Applicants shall submit all required documents, including proof of age, previous academic records, Transfer Certificate (where applicable), passport-size photographs, Aadhaar (if applicable), and any other documents required by the School.
  • The particulars furnished in the Admission Form must be accurate and complete. Any false declaration, suppression of facts, or submission of forged documents may result in cancellation of admission without liability on the part of the School.
  • The date of birth once recorded on the basis of valid documentary evidence shall ordinarily not be altered except in accordance with CBSE rules and applicable law.
  • The Management reserves the right to accept or decline any application for admission in accordance with its Admission Policy and applicable legal provisions.

Attendance & Leave

  • Regular attendance is mandatory for all students.
  • Students are expected to maintain the minimum attendance prescribed by CBSE and other competent authorities from time to time.
  • Leave should be applied for in advance through the prescribed procedure, except in cases of emergency.
  • Medical leave exceeding three consecutive working days shall ordinarily be supported by a valid medical certificate.
  • Continuous unauthorised absence may result in removal of the student’s name from the School rolls after due notice to the parent/guardian.
  • Attendance requirements for appearing in Board Examinations shall be governed by CBSE regulations.

Fee Policy

  • School fees shall be payable as notified by the School from time to time.
  • Fees shall be paid on or before the prescribed due date through the approved modes of payment.
  • Delay in payment may attract a late fee in accordance with the Fee Schedule notified by the School.
  • Continued non-payment of fees may result in suspension of School services or removal of the student’s name from the School rolls after due notice and subject to applicable law.
  • Fees once paid are refundable only in accordance with the School Fee Policy and applicable statutory provisions.

Withdrawal & Transfer Certificate

  • Parents seeking withdrawal of their ward shall submit a written application in the prescribed format.
  • One month’s prior notice or fee in lieu thereof may be required unless otherwise decided by the School.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) shall be issued after clearance of all dues and completion of prescribed formalities, in accordance with CBSE regulations.
  • The School shall endeavour to issue the Transfer Certificate within the time prescribed under applicable rules.

Code of Conduct & Discipline

Every student shall:

  • Respect teachers, staff members, fellow students, and visitors.
  • Maintain honesty, courtesy, and discipline at all times.
  • Safeguard School property and maintain cleanliness.
  • Refrain from bullying, ragging, discrimination, harassment, violence, vandalism, or any form of misconduct.
  • Follow all safety, health, and security instructions issued by the School.

The possession or use of prohibited items, including tobacco products, alcohol, narcotic substances, weapons, fireworks, or any illegal or hazardous material, is strictly prohibited.

Students shall also comply with the School’s policies on digital citizenship, cyber safety, and responsible use of technology.

Disciplinary Action

The School may take appropriate disciplinary measures where a student is found to have violated School rules or engaged in misconduct.

Depending upon the nature and gravity of the matter, disciplinary measures may include:

  • Counselling
  • Verbal or written warning
  • Parent counselling
  • Restorative measures
  • Temporary suspension
  • Restriction from specific activities
  • Withdrawal of privileges
  • Withdrawal of enrolment in exceptional cases

Except where immediate action is necessary to protect the safety of students or staff, disciplinary action shall ordinarily be taken after providing the student and parent/guardian an opportunity to present their explanation.

The decision of the School Management shall be final, subject to applicable laws and CBSE regulations

Uniform & Personal Appearance

Students shall attend School in the prescribed uniform with proper grooming and maintain personal hygiene.

Failure to comply without valid reason may result in corrective action as deemed appropriate by the School.

Assessment & Promotion

Academic assessment shall be conducted in accordance with the latest CBSE guidelines and School Assessment Policy.

Evaluation may include:

  • Periodic Assessments
  • Subject Enrichment Activities
  • Practical Work
  • Projects and Portfolios
  • Half-Yearly Examinations
  • Annual Examinations
  • Competency-Based Assessments

Promotion shall be based upon the student’s academic performance, attendance, conduct, completion of assigned work, and applicable CBSE regulations.

The School reserves the right to prescribe additional academic support or reassessment wherever considered educationally appropriate.

Student Safety & Child Protection

The safety, dignity, and well-being of every child are of paramount importance.

The School follows a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • Bullying
  • Ragging
  • Physical abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Sexual harassment
  • Child abuse
  • Discrimination
  • Cyber bullying

The School shall implement child protection measures in accordance with the POCSO Act, 2012, CBSE guidelines, and applicable Government regulations.

Medical Care

Parents shall promptly inform the School regarding any medical condition, allergy, disability, or special educational requirement of their ward.

In case of illness or medical emergency during School hours, the School shall make reasonable efforts to provide first aid and immediately inform the parent/guardian. Where necessary, emergency medical assistance may be arranged in the best interest of the student.

Parent Responsibilities

Parents/Guardians are expected to:

  • Ensure punctuality and regular attendance.
  • Attend Parent–Teacher Meetings.
  • Support the School in maintaining discipline.
  • Keep contact details updated.
  • Monitor their ward’s academic progress and online behaviour.
  • Cooperate with the School in matters concerning the student’s welfare and development.

Amendments

The School reserves the right to amend, modify, revise, or update these Policies & Regulations at any time in accordance with changes in applicable laws, CBSE regulations, Government notifications, or institutional requirements.

The latest version published by the School shall be binding on all students and parents.

Jurisdiction

Any matter relating to the interpretation, implementation, or enforcement of these Policies & Regulations shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts and competent authorities having jurisdiction over Bijnor District, Uttar Pradesh, shall have jurisdiction in respect of disputes arising from these regulations.
